Condition: Good. Penguin Series No. 935. First Penguin paperback edition, 1953. Classic Penguin orange-band paperback, featuring the iconic three-band cover design typical of early 1950s Penguin fiction. A worn but complete copy. There is a tear to the lower edge of the front cover and spine, along with a larger tear to the bott…om edge of the rear cover, which slightly affects the endpapers. Despite this, the binding remains intact and all pages are present. Internally, the pages show even age-related toning but are otherwise clean, with no foxing observed.
