The author was the Superintendent of the Engineering Department of Cambridge University. This is the UK edition from Crosby Lockwood, known for their technical books and guides. 232 pages, with Index and more than 30 plates, 5-3/4" X 8-3/4". Sturdy brown cloth covered boards, with the title and author name on the spine panel in gold, and impressed on the front cover as well. Very mild wear to the edges at the head and heel of the spine and the very tips of the corners are slightly bumped inward. There are some notes and underlining on pages 116 - 120. Fore edge of the text block has just a couple of dots of age foxing. Binding is tight. This copy is not an ex-library copy. No dust jacket. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
