Print. Maxfield Parrish (illustrator). Original Medium Size Maxfield Parrish lithograph print. 15 x 17 inches. [19.5 x 17 inches in frame] May require extra shipping due to size. In 1917, Maxfield Parrish created three paintings for C.A. Crane Candy Co. Prints were created by House of Art NY for C.A. Crane Candy Co. Stores in Cleveland Ohio & NY City. The original prints came in three sizes and this is the medium size that was produced. "Cleopatra" is the rarest of the three paintings made for C. A. Crane Candy Co. to find. Before the age of 30, Maxfield Parrish had worked as an illustrator and poster designer for Harper's Weekly, Scribner's Magazine, Ladies' Home Journal and the National Weekly. Parrish took full advantage of the new technologies in color reproduction and established himself as the master of fantasy and romance. He quickly became one of the best designers in what has been referred to as the "golden age of illustration.".
