Hardcover. Condition: Very Good -. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Blue & white hessian with blue lettering and borders to fr. and sp., generally clean, outer corners a trifle bumped. 191 pp., many being full-page blank grids for use in deciphering (at leat one partially completed in pencil), a clipping about writing in cipher from unidentified paper or journal slipped in; major problem is tanning to edges throughout, occ. spreading more inwards, otherwise clean and unmarked bar the cipher-grid penciling.Undated, other listing suggest 1930s, clearly 1920s-1930s on internal evidence. The format of the book is to provide shorty stories including a coded message for reader to decipher, many of these are First World War in context. Apparently fairly uncommon. 13 cm x 19 cm.
