Fitzhugh Died In 1929; His Obituary Was In The New York Times, And He Left A Fortune Of About $3,000.,000 ( A Lot In 1929). Some Of His Indian Art Work Is Now In The Museum Of The American Indian. William Randolph Hearst Bought The Ranch In 1936 And It Was A Showplace Into The 1940'S, But It Fell Into Neglect And The U. S. Forest Service Acquired It In 1965.
