Full Color Pictorial Boards. Condition: Fine. Preston, Chloe (illustrator). First Edition. (Preston, Chloe) illus. CHUBBY CHUMMIES (code number 951). [London]: Raphael Tuck & Sons, Ltd., circa 1920. First edition. 32mo - 3-9/16" x 4-9/16". Full color pictorial boards in beautiful, pristine condition with two blue ribbons attached to one of the cloth joints for tying the book closed. [14]pp. The book consists of seven panels of heavy board stock folded accordian style, four panels with full color illustrations by Chloe Preston and three panels with verses by G. C. F. mounted on each side. The seven panels are joined together with blue cloth which is still completely intact. Fully extended the book measures 25-5/8" long. The pages of the book are bright and clean and the illustrations of chubby little children are just charming. The book is housed in the publisher's original box which is in wonderful condition and which has a paste label matching the front cover illustration of the book. The condition of both the book and the box are FINE. Exceedingly rare. Not in Hillier.
