All volumes are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. All covers are securely attached. VOLS 1 & 3 - the back covers have some light soiling and what appears to be some pencil lines. VOLS 9 & 10 have some very light pencil lines at the bottom edge of the front covers. VOL 3 has a minor crack at the front hinge between the end paper and half title page, though the front cover remains securely attached. Overall a wonderful set.

On Volume I, two introductory pages are detached, On Volume IX, pp 47-50 are detached and creased. Fold-out letter, part of introduction in Volume I, is in good condition.…Green cloth over boards, and light-brown leather over spines. Volume I, IX and X have serious issues with the spine leather, and all volumes have a little wear to edges. Front of Volume X is soiled.
