Third printing. 8vo, pp. 247. A very good copy in a wrinkled and worn dj. Inscribed by the author (probably to poet William Jay Smith from whom the book was purchased): " Mon President, mon | Capitaine, Mes | Smeets - | Que Peuj Dire? | Merde? | Amour ? | Coit? | Amitie? | Nya pas des mots. | Rspftly | Nat Bencheley | (ou, ce dont qui | reste) | 30 VI 63" A great association. Benchley was the son of writer Robert Benchley and father of Peter Benchley -- author of Jaws.
