Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Hardcover in Very Good condition in a fair to good dust jacket, small 8vo. Green ribbed cloth with embossed illustration and titles, black-and-white frontis. First edition with Appleton (1) on last page of text and Appleton at book spine tail. Light wear and soiling, dust jacket chipped and soiled with minor loss, Grosset and Dunlap at dj spine tail. Bookseller accession no.: 23873.

Hardcover. Small 8vo. Burgundy cloth with black and black-bordered-yellow lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 240pp, (10pp ads). Frontispiece. Near fine/good plus. Jacket complete and fairly attractive despite age toning and some edge chipping (mainly at spine tail). Handsome early (undated, but circa 1930) reprint edition (first published by D. Appleton in 1927) of this boy's adventure yarn about a "frontier lad" from "the northernmost post of the Hudson Bay Company" called to "save his family fortune" in the big city.
