Recalling the work of Joseph Cornell and Marcel Duchamp, BUILDING STORIES is a physical, tactile work made of individual pieces that the reader must assemble together to tell the story of an unnamed woman living in a three-story brownstone in Chicago. Martha Kuhlman said of the work, "The projectto document the multiple perspectives of these charactersaspires to a graphic novel on the scale of James Joyce's Ulysses." A monument.
