Condition: Good. Unpaginated. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.

A very good undated hardcover, the 4th edition which must have been printed before the 1929 5th edition, in clean red boards bumped/rubbed to the spine ends corners, no writing or stamps, clean pages in an about good bright dustwrapper creased/rubbed to the edges with several small closed tears and chips to the spine head supplied in a new removable archival sleeve. Includes integral bookmark. A very heavy book of over 1,705 pages, 926 diagrams and 316 black and white photographs.
