Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Minor pencil inscriptions to front free endpaper. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some mild marking and tanning.

Decorative paper covered dark gilt boards with titles to upper board. Rubbing at the spine ends, corners and edges. There is a rubbed area to the bottom rear panel where a sticker has been removed. Despite this the colour plates are all in fine condition and beautiful. Book is in very good condition. Reprinted edition with 8 additional plates. Made, printed and bound in Germany by K.G. Lohse. 24 plates with minor toning to edges which add to the character. 10 pp of text. Plates depict fox hunting, steeplechasing, racing, angling, shooting, game birds, waterfowl and shorebirds. Includes work by Henry Alken (1748-1854), Robert Pollard (1755-1838), James Barenger (1780-1831), F.C. Turner and George Stubbs (1724-1806).
