The daily life of nouveau riche Maggie and Jiggs, drawn in an elegant art nouveau/art deco style by cartoonist George McManus from 1913 until his death in 1954. The strip continued, by a succession of artists, until 2000. Original owner's name written on title page; acidic paper darkened; wear to edges and head/tail of spine; staples detached at hinges but cloth binding is firm.
