Condition: Good. 1973. First Edition. 143 pages. White paperback book with pictorial cover. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Paper cover is lightly rub worn and thumbed with light shelf wear to edges and corners. Light creases to corners and spine. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. . (illustrator). 1st Edition. Good to Very Good, ex-library, in jacket; book is solid and pages are very good; jacket flaps taped down. Hardcover in jacket; 22 cm tall x 18 cm, 143 pp. I cannot imagine how a better book on explorations could be assembled. 18 here: first, in a few pages, more about Leif Erickson than I ever imagined; Scott and Amundsen's South Pole diaries, by date, side by side; a letter from Columbus with a brighter outlook. etc.; and 14 more topics, well illustrated. May appear the same in a photo as the paper copy, but has the LYB logo at upper right corner. .
