Reprint. 23 page reprint of an article published January 19 and February 2, 1927 that appeared in the Medical Journal and Record, incorporating the New York Medical Journal, Philadelphia Medical Journal, and Medical Record and Medical News. Laid in is 2 page Editorial from Medical Journal and Record of Jan. 19, 1927 "taking pleasure in presenting in this issue the first original article in the English language by Dr. Eugen Steinach" and 'gratefully acknowledging Dr. Steinach's valuable contribution". Fine in pale blue printed paper wrappers. Nominated for but never awarded the Nobel Prize, Dr. Steinach was a pioneering researcher in the fields of urology, endocrinology, and sexual medicine, and has been called "The First Neuroendocrinologist". Endocrinology, Volume 155, Issue 3, 1 March 2014, Pages 688-695. A RARE reprint, OCLC locates one copy, at the Kinsey Institute for Sex Research.
