Other than that, the condition is absolutely superb. Strong colors on the covers with tight binding completely fresh inside. Nothing written no stains. A little wear in the corners (back corner a pressure damage but all the material in the corners remains in all of them which is rare. Brilliant condition:) First edition illustrated by Tove Jansson and second swedish edition of the hobbit.

The book has had some regluing in the back and a piece of one page on the front cover has some regluing. Has some marks from previous tape on the inside of the front board on the last page and the inside of the back board, i.e. the last page. Very indistinct stamping on title page and last page of library mostly gone. Also a stamp from the previous ex-libris stamp that was on.

On of the corners has been reglued back this is only a very small part though and all the corners are pointy which is incredibly scarce. Has some minor loss of the pink color in a few small places which can be seen on boards. All the pages are in great condition. Superb condition.

An attractive edition. Given the importance of the Nordic influence on Tolkien's work, there is something reciprocal about the foremost illustrator of the region turning her hand to one of his most enduring works - and the results are delightful.
