First edition of this collection of photographs taken during the filming of Martin Campbell's 'Beyond Borders,' starring Angelina Jolie. Oblong octavo, original pictorial wrappers, illustrated with black and white photographs throughout. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the dedication page, "Arthur 'J', Thanks for keeping me alive and being such a good friend. Lloyd '02." In very good condition. Accompanied by approximately eighty original gelatin silver prints. Many of these photographs are represented in the book, but there are many additional photographs not included in the book which appear here. Lloyd Phillips, perhaps best known for producing the Quentin Tarantino film Inglourious Basterds, was a South African-born New Zealand film producer and the first New Zealander to win an Academy Award in any category. His work on the 2003 romantic-drama 'Beyond Borders' required traveling to Thailand, Namibia, and Canada to film on site.
