First published by Collins in 1950. The boards have quite a heavy bump to the top front corner and a lighter bump to the top rear corner. Light stain to the top edge of the front panel with some associated staining to the top of the front panel of the jacket. Top edges of pages have a little fading. Light spotting around the edges of the endpapers but the pages are clean and unmarked. The jacket has a little rubbing around the edges, a half inch closed tear to the top edge of the rear panel, a tiny surface nick in the edge of the rear flap and a little staining and brown spotting to the reverse. Illustrated by Joyce Bruce.
