The dustwrapper is in two halves with tanning, has wear to the edges, with some rips to the edges, chips to both ends of spine and edges. The red boards are stained with discolouring, with some bumping to the edges, with blue lettering to the spine. Light tanning to page edges, name to inside front cover, paperclip marks to pages 102-105. Otherwise the binding is firm and the pages appear clean and crease free with some great illustrations throughout. This book has 106 pages. All in all a nice example of this book.

[vi] + 106 pp. Bound in original red cloth, with black titles, in pictorial unclipped dust wrapper, with edge chips and small tears at head and tail of spine, which is sunned. Lower board edges darkened. Scattered foxing, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated throughout by cartoons. Decorated by title page vignette and by publisher''s device on verso of title. Humorous cartoons featuring the training and adventures of Aircraftsman 'Plonk.' By cartoonist William Hooper (1916-96), who served on the ground staff. He also jointly devised the character of Pilot Officer Prune, used for pilot instructional purposes. At the end is a two page glossary of terms used in the book.
