Contact seller5-star sellerHardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. This G+ quality first format and likely first edition book was published in 1916 by Hurst and Company and is 7-7/8" tall with 321 numbered pages of text. This book--one-piece gray ribbed binding with black lettering--is square, somewhat clean, free of edge dings with both top and the lower…front corners bumped; the head and heel of the spine are bumped with slight wear and color loss but no fraying; the bottom edges have very little wear. The spine is soiled and worn but the lettering is intact, though the illustration has lost virtually all of its red color. The front panel illustration in red, black and white is clean but has lost virtually all of its white paint. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Both hinges are strong and undamaged; text paper is only very slightly toned and is very flexible and not at all brittle. The frontis + 3 are present and intact. The only list in the book is on the title page and it lists only the first three titles of this series. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book.
