Condition: Fair. 1953. First Edition. 240 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over green cloth boards. Gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrations. Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pen markings to front pastedown. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering is darkened. Visible wear marks to boards. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have moderate edgewear with chips, tears and creases. Moderate loss to spine and edges. Moderate tanning and wear marks to jacket.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Light wear to boards. Content is clean with light age tone. Owner name to end paper. DJ with some edge wear, a few tears and age tone.

A small piece of the spine panel is missing. There is light sporadic foxing on the early pages and end pages, but very little in the body of the book. The text remains bright and clear.
