Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition of Felix's famous book of cricket instruction illustrated with full colour lithograph plates attributed to G.F. Watts. Felix (real name Nicholas Wanostrocht) was a famous player for Kent and All-England in the 1830s and 40s. Large 8vo. 40pp + addenda + ads. Original green cloth with gilt engraving to front cover, restored spine. All edges gilt. Full colour frontis + 6 colour plates, 3 black and white plates + further illustrations in text. Bookplate of Hugh Cecil, Earl of Lonsdale, foxing to prelims and frontis, light foxing throughout, including some plates. Overall a very nice copy of the first edition of one of the true classics of cricket literature. From our large stock of cricket books and publications.
