    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. VG/First ed. Wonderful children's fiction on about the fourth grade level. Story appears to have both black and white children living on a plantation(or large farm) out in the middle of nowhere, and everyone plays together. Book has green cloth over boards with gold lettering to front and spine and a young girl on a horse galloping on the front cover. 148 pages, wonderfull illustrations. Endpapers are drawings of the farm. Binding tight, pages secure, with light tanning. A little wear at bottom edge of covers at corners(light shelfwear). 2 good size smudges from little fingers on title page. Nice solid copy.
