Original Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. The book is quite worn especially the page edges which have browning and light spotting along the sides of the page edges. There are two stains on the pages: The first is one about the size of half a finger tip on the bottom corner of the front free endpaper also affecting to a diminishing degree the pages through to page 24; the other is on the bottom of the rear free endpaper and is about one and a half inches long and less than a quarter of an inch high with this also affecting a further five leaves to diminishing degree. The pages are a bit worn but free from heavy marks of any kind. The jacket has a half inch by a quarter of an inch chip missing from the top of the spine where there is a closed tear and some creasing. Some further chipping along the edge of the base of the spine and minor chipping to corners. Some small surface scrapes towards the right hand edge of the front panel. Cover art by Denis McLoughlin.
