Very slight soiling to block edge, otherwise a near FINE uninscribed copy, clean, bright and tight.

Condition: Very Good. 12mo (18 cm), VIII pp, 43 double-page plans, [1], 91 pp. Publisher's cloth over thick card, black lettering to the spine and boards (binding slightly rubbed and stained, top edge somewhat stained). George Washington Bacon (1830-1922) was an American mapmaker and publisher who built a successful business producing maps of London. Around 1900, G.W. Bacon was acquired by the Scottish publishing house W. & A.K. Johnston and incorporated into their operations. Maps under the Bacon brand continued to be produced as late as 1956. This edition, featuring 43 maps, was published in the 1950s.
