Knopf 1928 A signed first U.S. edition of the Nobel Prize winner's first installment of The Master of Hestviken, a tetralogy set in medieval Norway, originally published in 1925 as Olav Audunssøn 1 Hestviken, translated from the Norwegian by Arthur G. Chater, jacket design by Frank McIntosh, inscribed by Undset to the front free endpaper "Mr. Herbert M. Meyer from Sigrid Undset", both the signature and jacket are rare attributes of this book.
