Autograph deed (8 x 12 1/2 inch) signed by John Covert and his wife Catherine (her mark) and Joshua Covert and his wife Susanah (her mark), dated 7 October 1808 in Ovid, Seneca County, New York. John & Joshua agree to sell to Joseph Covert 68 acres in the town of Ovid (Lot 48) for $540.00. Also signed by Cornelius Humfrey, (Judge - Court of Common Pleas). The document has been repaired with tape across the middle. The second document (7 x 7 3/4 inch folded) is dated January 5, 1811 recording the document with the county clerk, Silus Halsey, who has signed the document.
