Sheet was carefully excised from a larger musical programme, with the lower portion neatly trimmed; a faint crease, else fine. Adele Addison, an African-American opera singer, a soprano, and was the singing voice for Bess (played by Dorothy Dandridge) in the 1959 movie 'Porgy and Bess.' Signed by Adele Anderson beneath her portrait and printed name. Measuring circa 5 1/2 by 8 inches, printed on both sides, illustrated reproducing a black-and-white photograph of Adele Addison, depicted from the shoulders up, facing the camera, smiling. Prints a twenty-three line statement about Adele Addison, including biographical material and details of previous performances. Verso prints an advertisement for a performance of Handel's Messiah; also by the Worcester Oratorio Society.
