Complete run of The Arkham Sampler, eight issues total bound into two volumes with original covers bound in, and with the bookplates of noted science fiction collector and book dealer Stephen J. Takacs. Includes eight issues in each volume with an index at the end of the 1949 volume. A tour de force in horror and fantasy fiction, with one issue dedicated to science fiction. Each issue was limited to 1200 copies except the sci-fi issue which was limited to 2000. Blue buckram cloth with gilt spine lettering, original color covers (front and back) bound in and in about fine condition. The two volumes are in very good condition with light edge rubbing, a few very tiny light speckles to the spines, good hinges, firm text block, lightly age-toned and clean pages, Takacs' sci-fi themed bookplates inside each front cover, no other names or markings. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
