Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Pp. title page, 85, [1 - advertising]. Trimmed wide margins. Early marbled papered covers. At the time there was much controversy, this is Burnet defending himself against one of his critics, Erasmus Warren. Burnet suggested a hollow earth with most of the water inside until Noah's Flood, at which time, mountains and oceans appeared. He calculated the amount of water on Earth's surface. Isaac Newton was an admirer of Burnet's theological approach to geological processes. Wing B5942. A good clean copy of this rare booklet.
