Three of the dustjackets are good to very good, with some soil and foxing, creases along edges; that of the Quotations is fair, with a 3x3x4 inch piece torn off spine portion, tears along edges, otherwise all are tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked and apparently never read.…

The fourth volume is in blue cloth over boards. Books show light shelfwear. In price-clipped dust jackets, with a handful of shallow closed tears and chips in the edges. Spine of jacket of volume 1 is heavily darkened. Front panels of jackets of volumes 2 and 3 are a bit soiled. Housed in a slipcase with wear, including a couple of prominent splits at the head and foot, and a bit of staining to the top panel (good only). May require extra postage due to weight. The supplements are dated 1961. All four volumes are fine. The dictionary has red-speckled page edges and its dust jacket has edgewear and small chips. The other three books have very minor wear at top of jacket spines. The $10 price is on the dust jacket flaps of all four volumes. Gray slipcase is near fine with very slight wear.
