Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Printing of the First UK edition. Never an easy book to find and now quite rare. This is a nice copy, tight and square, bumped at all the corners and pushed at the spine tips a little. Text-block toned slightly but commensurate with age only - Macdonald's are/were probably THE WORST publishing house for their use of cheap paper-stock which browns easily but it seems that a better quality paper was used in this case. Free from owner names or stains etc, Very Good at least. The dustjacket is also in VG++ condition with price of £4.95 at the front flap (many copies are unpriced). Minor rubbing to the spine tips and corners, minor creasing along the edges and at the tips. Minor tanning alongside the edges of the inside of the jacket. A nice copy nevertheless, uncommon thus.
