With pencil crosses by the performance for Wednesday 9 June, the second of only three performances of the comic opera, held at the Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall, and part of the very first Aldeburgh Festival, held from 5-13 June 1948. The Jubilee Hall was a few doors away from Britten's house in Crabbe Street. The artistic directors of the English Opera Group were Benjamin Britten, Eric Piper and Eric Crozier. VG. Very slight item but scarce.
