His printed name on title page has been crossed through and he has signed in full there, below he has written "For Robin with love Bryan." The day before he killed himself in 1973, he told Robin, "I shall be much more famous once I'm dead." Spine creased, pages browned otherwise a clean and sound copy. Robin Dalton lived to 101 and had an extraordinary life and career. As a literary agent she represented Edna O'Brien, John Osborne, Iris Murdoch, Ben Travers, George Orwell, Margaret Drabble, B. S. Johnson, Bernice Rubens and many more. She also produced films, spied for Thai Government and for over five years dated the cousin and best man of Prince Philip. Born in Australia, she spent most of her adult life in London, surfed until she was 96 and went on entertaining people of all ages in her luxurious Hampstead flat until she died.
