Hardcover. Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. x, 224pp + [i], [viii] publisher's advertisements. Reddy-brown cloth with slightly dulled gilt lettering to the spine and upper board, and a double blind-stamped border. With scores of illustrations, figures and diagrams. The boards soiled, one corner tip chipped, and the others a little rubbed. Edges spotted. The front hinge cracked and the front free endpaper absent. A fair copy.
