Early twentieth century children's book with four color plates showing backgrounds for four different types of transportation (trains; zeppelins and airplanes; automobiles; boats and ships), together with stickers showing the actual vehicles. There is also…descriptive text. In this copy, the stickers have been put carefully in place. Pictorial boards with red cloth spine. Covers lightly worn at the edges but bright and attractive, contents separated from covers, pages generally clean with occasional finger soil to the margins, faint light orange crayon underlines to text on one page, zeppelin has "graf zeppelin" in pencil written on it, no other markings or names. Hard Cover. Fair. Oblong 4to.

In this copy, the stickers have been glued carefully in place. Pictorial boards with red cloth spine. Covers lightly worn at the edges but bright and attractive, removal of sticker sheets loosened the text block which is yet complete and bound, pages generally clean with occasional finger soil. Rear paste-down has partial sticker showing once sold by Daniels & Fisher of Denver. William B. Daniels and William Fisher opened a five-story Denver department store in 1864. In 1911, they built a clock tower attached to the store. The tower prided itself in being the highest structure west of the Mississippi River at the time, standing at 325 feet. The store was sold to the May Company, becoming May D&F, in 1958. The tower was renovated into office space in 1971 and still stands at Arapaho & 16th. Hardcover without dust jacket. Always privately owned with no ownership markings. Standard used condition. Oblong 4to. Copyright 1927. Printed in U.S.A. No Edition nor print-run info found.
