Unpaginated [56] with each letter of the alphabet having a full page illustration. In original price clipped jacket. The boards are clean and bright with a touch of shelf wear, a little rubbing to the corners and a small 0.3 cm rub to the the top corner of the front board. Internally clean and bright with just a small gift inscription on the front free endpaper. The dust jacket which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) is a little rubbed on the spine tips corners and corners with small losses to the corners and joint tips. There are a number of closed tears on the top and bottom edges of the rear panel, the largest of which is 4 cm, with some associated creasing. Winner of the Kate Greenaway award for children's book illustration, this vibrantly illustrated work is increasingly difficult to find complete.
