Paper cover has mild edge wear with light rubbing and creasing. Some light marking and tanning. Book is slightly curled.

Volume first published in 1954 with this edition reprinted in 1958. General wear to the cover, with areas of mottling/fading to the red cloth, particularly around the spine. 'No. 9' written in red ink to the front endpaper (see sellers images) but no further annotations or notes to the pages. Light tanned appearance to the endpaers and some areas of staining and discolouration to the outer edges of the text block. Size: 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Weight: 640g.

Condition: Good. 1964. Reprinted. 336 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth covered boards with silver lettering. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Silver lettering is bright and clear.
