The first two of 13 chapters outline the history of the Broadlands, the next two the seasonal differences, other chaper compare ancient residents with contemporary folk, the major rivers, lakes, towns and wildlife are included in the remainder. 218 pages including index, followed by seven pages publisher's adverts, Frank Southgate provided the excellent art plates, 8 colour, four b/w, folded colour map at back with one small tear off map. Green hard covers with gilt spine titles, impressed on front board VG+, spine lightly sunned, tiny nich spine top, text block excellent with speckle foxing few early/late pages, foxing to page edges, lower edges rough cut.
