In four volumes.Celebrated work by John Chetwode Eustace documenting his travels through Italy between 1801 and 1802 while accompanying his pupils John Cust, Robert Rushbroke, and Philip Roche. This work was originally published in 1813 and became an instant success, making the author aprominent figure in literary society. The work went through eight editions between 1813 and 1841 and is considered a standard handbook for classical tourists.Two leaves of publisher's advertisements to rear vol.
