Here is another large book, this time a soft cover trade paperback, of more recent vintage, about railroads. It is titled: Delaware & Hudson the History of an Important Railroad Whose Antecedent Was a Canal Network to Transport Coal, by Jim Shaughnessy. This very large soft cover book (8 ¼ x 11 inches, 476 pages) was published by Syracuse University Press of Syracuse, New York, dated 1997 and if I am reading the coding right, this is the First Edition/First Printing. It is bound in glossy, pictorial soft covers with an image of the Laurentian speeding through a wintry scene in Upstate New York. As usual, this book is well illustrated with lots of reproductions of vintage b&w photos of locomotives and other railroad scenes from this line. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The soft covers are clean and glossy and unscuffed; there is some very slight edge wear. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and photos are clean and bright, from cover to cover.
