Full title: Antiquity Unveiled: Ancient Voices from the Spirit Realms; Disclose the Most Startling Revelations Proving Christianity to be of Heathen Origin. The compiled works of Mr. J.M. Roberts, esq., son of a senator and antebellum abolitionist from New Jersey, turned Spiritualist when he received a message from his deceased father. He passed in 1888. The compiler of his works in this book is, presumably, the author of his 1885 tribute and 1888 memoir (obituary) as introductory material, Mr. Forester Gordon. The book consists of over 170 messages form persons from the past including Apollonius, the Nazarene, Apollonius of Tyana (another Nazarene), Pope Gregory VII, Vespasian, an Emperor, and many others. Startling indeed!
