Condition fair, corners and spine ends rubbed, cloth on cover wrinkled, spine faded, corners bumped, front hinge is cracked and front free end-paper and frontispiece are missing, 2 further illustrations are missing, school prize label dated 1903 to front paste-down, small strip of red that has bled from the front cover to part of the outer margin of the title and first 4 or 5 pages, pages are a bit loose, a few odd spots of foxing here and there, pages are toned. With 3 of 6 illustrations. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
