And all packed with spectacular pictures by that maestro of the lens, Ercole Colombo.

Hardback. Condition: New. 2010-2011 ed. The official Superbike World Championship book has always tried to transmit this important fact through its pictures. From the 2010 edition, that message is further developed and goes even deeper into the technical aspects of the sport, so extremely interesting to the most competent fans. But as well as the bikes, the men of the category are able to maintain close contact with their public. That is why champions and their colleagues recount their human side as well as their sports career, aspects to which ample space has been given in the Superbike annual. There is no lack of chapters devoted to other categories (Supersport, Superstock 1000, Superstock 600), which complete the world championship programme. All highlighted by the most spectacular pictures of the season.

Paperback. Condition: New. As with previous years, 2015 was one in which Mercedes-Benz dominated both the drivers' and constructors- championships. The German manufacturer confirmed the technical advantage it had derived from the introduction of the revolutionary power unit, which first appeared in 2014. In place of Red Bull, which fell into disgrace after a media conflict with engine supplier Renault, it was Ferrari that attempted to stand up to the Silver Arrows. Side issues were the stories of a Williams wanting to come back and battle for the title; McLaren with a new but not very effective Honda engine, which touched the lowest point in the Japanese manufacturer's long history in F1; and the other leading teams of a season that ended with the official announcement of Renault's return, having acquired Lotus. Offering a precise analysis of this latest F1 championship, especially from the technical point of view, there is once again Giorgio Piola. A hundred or so all-colour illustrations document the development of the various cars throughout the Formula 1 World Championship, and offer - as always - a wealth of information anticipating the 2016 season.

Paperback. Condition: New. For the fourth consecutive year, Sebastian Vettel has won the Formula 1 World Championship for drivers. He did so with 13 victories out of the season's 19 races, from the Grand Prix of Belgium to the Brazilian GP. Only Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton were able to get the better of the great German champion with their sporadic wins. And Vettel's string of successes also enabled Red Bull to confirm once again it is still the top constructor. On the technical front, the 2013 world championship acquired a certain stability, even if there was no lack of new elements, like the abolition of the cars' nose step, the elimination of the double DRS and Ferrari's adoption of faired half-axels by. All aspects carefully explained by Giorgio Piola in his latest book in the "Technical Analysis" series, which is now a must-have for all enthusiasts. This edition also includes over 300 colour illustrations, which unveil all the secrets of the cars that battled for the 2013 world title; and then there is an early look ahead to the principal changes of 2014, when the cars go back to being powered by a turbocharged engines of 6-cylinders and 1600 cc. instead of the classic normally aspirated V8.

Paperback. Condition: New. The industrial and technical history of the Lambretta Junior series, told through invaluable archive materials. In the early Sixties, Innocenti took a technological leap in the engineering of the Lambretta, introducing for the first time a monocoque frame clearly inspired by its direct rival, Piaggio's Vespa. This led to the birth of the Junior series, with models aimed at younger riders and with lower list prices than the traditional LI and TV versions. This new book devotes specific chapters to questions of production, technology, advertising, and many other areas of interest regarding this series of models that once again enjoyed notable success with the public.

Hardback. Condition: New. In this book of over 500 pages Ermanno Cozza, the true historic memory of Maserati, passionately tells a story packed with behind the scenes truths - right up to today - that have never before been published. He covers half a century of the company's life, which he lived in close contact with the great motor racing champions, ingenious technicians, designers and, naturally, company life as well, of course, as the unforgettable cars. A carefully chosen collection of photographs and other illustrations complete this invaluable book. "Over 66 years have passed since I walked through the gates of Officine Alfieri Maserati (the Alfieri Maserati Workshops). It was in 1951, and in all that time I can truly say that Maserati took hold of my heart. The factory, the men and the cars have indelibly marked moments in my life. Today, many people consider me to be the living memory of Maserati and, in that way, take me back to those earlier days. In this book, I have tried to convey the excitement of living the Maserati legend so that, step by step, I cover the most important moments of my long and extraordinary experience: the excitement of participation, the joy and pain, the cars and the defeats, the ambitions and the professional difficulties. While I have always enjoyed good health, over the years I have been infected with the Maserati `virus' of which I believe I have been a carrier all this time - and it is a virus of which I never want to be cured" Ermanno Cozza".

The description of the operating cycle, the fluid dynamics, the lubrication and the cooling systems is followed by painstaking analysis of the mechanical organs, with the materials and the manufacturing processes employed to produce them. The book is completed by an overview of the history and evolution of these engines and by an examination of the principal types and the diverse fields in which they are employed. A section of the work is dedicated to an in-depth analysis of the ignition and combustion phases and the formation of the air-fuel mixture, with particular attention paid to the most recent injection systems.

Paperback. Condition: New. The book is the fruit of hands-on experience gained in the workshop as well as knowledge gleaned over years of consulting books, manufacturers' manuals and specialist magazines by one of the leading technical journalists in the sector, Massimo Clarke. It is intended as an easy-to-read guide with clear, precise contents regarding the restoration of classic bikes, with attention being focussed not on pre-war models but those from the Sixties and Seventies, those on which we still work most frequently today. All aspects of restoration are dealt with special reference to mechanical work on the engines and the chassis components, those which enthusiasts can do themselves in their own garages, using tools that are easy to find at reasonable costs. The book is enhanced by an in-depth examination of the reassembly of the crankcase and two chapters dedicated to the final drive and the spark plugs. A guide of fundamental importance for those who want to "get their hands dirty" around their classic bikes.

The 2017 championship is analysed by the authors of this classic official annual, first published with the purpose of informing the public of one of the most compelling and fascinating world championships. Among the new elements for this season is the starting grid of race two, which has been revolutionised in relation to the past, with the winner of the Saturday race obliged to start from ninth place. But the variation of the technical regulation is marginal, apart from the confirmation once more of the various other championships, which were tested over many seasons and reserved for the 1000 and 600 cc, the new entry of the small SuperSport 300 stands out. Apart from the authors telling the stories, there is the work of Fabrizio Porrozzi, one of the best photographers of the SBK World Championship.

Hardback. Condition: New. A place of absolute significance during Italy's golden age of hillclimbing has to go to the Bologna-Raticosa. As well as the pioneering first event way back in 1926, the hillclimb was at its peak from 1950 until 1969. Its winners included Bracco, Cabianca, Palmieri, Castellotti, Govoni, Herrmann, Moioli or Noris, Ortner and Venturi. And the cars they drove included Ferraris, OSCAs, Maseratis and Abarths. So along its more than 43 km route - it was reduced to not much more than 32 km from 1962 - raced some of the greatest drivers of the period. Then, after a long silence, the Bologna made its comeback in 2001, first as an invitation race and then as a round in the Italian Vintage Car Speed Championship. The man who tells the story of this great classic is Carlo Dolcini, author of a number of books on the Mille Miglia, who covers again this historic event, and Francesco Amante, the tireless organiser and promoter of the most recent Bologna events. So for the first time, the entire story of the Bologna-Raticosa is told in a book that boasts a wealth of historic and modern illustrations as well as the complete results of the hillclimb.

Paperback. Condition: New. Following the monograph devoted to the Lui, this latest volume focuses on another iconic Lambretta the TV-LI Series I. In the history of the Lambretta, the TV and LI Series I laid the foundations of a new engineering concept that revolutionised the traditional model with shaft drive, sold from 1947 to 1958 in hundreds of thousands of examples. There were numerous innovations characterising this new series of models: the engine adopted a duplex chain transmission with a four-speed gearbox and the cylinder was set horizontally, while in terms of the chassis, the most significant novelties concerned the larger 10" wheels and the dimensions of the bodywork. No less important were the improvements to the rear suspension, which abandoned the famous torsion bar for a more efficient motorcycle-style spring-damper unit. For the first time a Lambretta reached a displacement of 170 cc and could offer high performance with a maximum speed of over 100 kph. This model, which went head-to-head with the Vespa 150 GS, is without doubt one of the most sought-after by collectors today. Even the more tranquil LI 125 and 150 were extremely successful, with thousands of examples of this exceptional Innocenti scooter still on the roads today, appreciated for their incredible robustness and stability. Vittorio Tessera, "Mr Lambretta," covers the entire technical, industrial and social history of these models, while the books is illustrated with hundreds of photographs.

While 1984 was not an easy year for Ferrari in Formula 1, the same cannot be said for the production cars, with the dramatic return of two of the most iconic and evocative names in the history of the Prancing Horse: Testarossa - already featured in a monograph in this series - and GTO, the new Ferrari grand tourer, the latest in the long and glorious line of eight-cylinder cars which was launched at that year's Geneva motor show. The 288 GTO was derived directly from the 308 GTB Speciale prototype prepared by Pininfarina in 1977, in effect a "pumped up" 308 with even more aggressive bodywork and powered by a muscular 2.8-litre V8 capable of delivering around 400 hp, good for a top speed of a little over 300 kph.Following the F40 and the Testarossa books in this series, this monograph on 288 GTO retraces the technical and stylistic genesis of the supercar, with contributions from several of the artificers of the model. All this accompanied by invaluable materials, many of which previously unpublished, drawn from the archives of the magazine Quattroruote.

The history of Vignale, the coachbuilder that bodied the first unforgettable Ferraris of the 1950s - responsible for cars such as the 166 and 212 Inter, the 250 and the 340 MM - narrated through rare archive photos, many of which previously unpublished. The Masterpieces of Style series dedicated to the greats of Italian coachbuilding - including Zagato, Pininfarina Touring and Giugiaro - could hardly not have a title devoted to the Turinese atelier founded in 1946 by Alfredo Vignale. This book covers, model by model, the entire output of an illustrious marque that was at its peak in the Fifties and Sixties when, thanks above all to the extraordinary talent of Giovanni Michelotti, it produced numerous bodies for Ferrari chassis, along with diverse Fiats with special versions of the 500 and 600. Not to forget the various Lancias such as the Appia and the Flavia Convertible and the prolific collaboration with Triumph.
