This appears to be an omnibus edition, with a publication date of 1764 at title page but reprising short pieces back to 1709-1710. Assembled by Richard Steele, editor, raconteur, and with pieces by and about him, Isaac Bickerstaff, and others, in the form of letters and obituaries, discourses upon manners, foods, wines, architecture and the like. It mimicked Addison and Steele's The Spectator, Samuel Johnson's The Rambler and The Idler, and Goldsmith's Citizen of the World. 320 [12] pp. with full index to the Volume the Fourth.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
