Paperback. Condition: Good. Franklin's Way to WealthBy Benjamin Franklin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Windham Press is committed to bringing the lost cultural heritage of ages past into the 21st century through high-quality reproductions of original, classic printed works at affordable prices. This book has been carefully crafted to utilize the original images of antique books rather than error-prone OCR text. This also preserves the work of the original typesetters of these classics, unknown craftsmen who laid out the text, often by hand, of each and every page you will read. Their subtle art involving judgment and interaction with the text is in many ways superior and more human than the mechanical methods utilized today, and gave each book a unique, hand-crafted feel in its text that connected the reader organically to the art of bindery and book-making. We think these benefits are worth the occasional imperfection resulting from the age of these books at the time of scanning, and their vintage feel provides a connection to the past that goes beyond the mere words of the text.…

Paperback. Condition: Good. Students, for many years, have come to this school asking for a better understanding of God, and desiring knowledge of the best way to get the most out of life. They have heard God spoken of as being afar off, when He is as close to us as the breath we breathe, closer than our hands and feet. They have heard Him spoken of as: Love, Divine Mind, Divine Intelligence, God, Lord, First Cause, Primal Substance, and other names. Being of an analytical mind I, too, have wanted to know the facts of a Truth. If it is a Truth, there are facts to be had, and they can prove themselves, not alone in Spirit but in a very practical way. It is my intention to present these lessons simply, without high-minded words or vague statements that sound pretty and promising. The terms above named are all synonymous. They mean one and the same thing, and I choose to use a simpler name that everyone will understand. I shall call God working in our lives LAW. Raymond Holliwell.…

Paperback. Condition: Good. Released by the Freedom of Information Act. This document is a thorough description of how the CIA recommends interrogating a subject. To get the information that is needed there is nothing withheld short of torture. For example in Threats and Fears, the CIA authors note that the threat of coercion usually weakens or destroys resistance more effectively than coercion itself. The threat to inflict pain, for example, can trigger fears more damaging than the immediate sensation of pain. Under the subheading Pain, the guidelines discuss the theories behind various thresholds of pain, and recommend that a subject's resistance is likelier to be sapped by pain which he seems to inflict upon himself such rather than by direct torture. The report suggests forcing the detainee to stand at attention for long periods of time. A section on sensory deprivations suggests imprisoning detainees in rooms without sensory stimuli of any kind, in a cell which has no light, for example.…

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. The purpose of Life from the very beginning has been dominion-dominion over every adverse circumstance. And through his part of dominion, his nerve cell in the Mind of God and his ability through it to get whatever action he may persistently demand-man HAS dominion over everything. There is a Spark of Divinity in YOU. What are you doing to fan it into flame? Are you giving it a chance to grow, to express itself, to become an all-consuming fire? Are you giving it work to do? Are you making it seek out ever greater worlds to conquer? Or are you letting it slumber neglected, or perhaps even smothering it with doubt and fear.…
