Peyser who was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and who prior to becoming a politician managed several offices of The Mutual Life Insurance Company Of New York in Westchester County, N.Y. As I said in the description of the aforementioned book, this is a COPY of the original book which was published in 1846. It is in Very Good condition. Unlike the first and second book this copy is bound in what feels like a leather cloth and would be described as a hardcover. You can make out the number 3 on the front cover. This is the third of the The Mutual Life Insurance Company Of New York books owned by the Peyser family and they so numbered them. As was the case with the other two books I could not find a copy of the originals published by W.E. Dean, Printer, anywhere on the Internet. The only titles for sale were later reprints. Beside the number 3 the covers seem practically free of imperfection. As you can see from the photograph there's only a bit of scuffing at the spine ends, and on one corner. The maroon color is bright and unsoiled. The book is well bound, and the pages are in very good shape. Please take a look at the photographs.

As you can see from the photograph the front cover has a penciled '2nd' and '1845'. The '2nd' would appear to reference that it follows in time the 1844 book on by Mr. Peyser. The interior of the book, the pages, the binding, is also Very Good. There is a little bit of fading of some of the print some of the pages, but it's minor and does not affect one's ability to read the text.
