Plus 50pp booklet on glossy art paper, with text, photos, collages etc in a thick card pocket at rear. Dual text in English and German. Comes in a black thin card slip-case . [CONDITION: An extremely well preserved AS NEW unread and unmarked copy in an AS NEW complete Dust Jacket and an AS NEW slip-case. Artist Book is by Eric Orr and with a multiple made of clay by James Lee Byars; 320 pp.; Dimensions: 28x29.5x8.5 cm.; the front and back boards are made of blue steel; the binding: sewn bound process; Limited Edition of 1000 unnumbered copies; it is not singed; "A wildly deluxe editi…on consisting of a handmade clay multiple by James Lee Byars, titled "The Sphere of Generosity," and a blue steel covered book by Eric Orr and Byars. Book contains "The Matter of O," a rubber-stamped stain of Orr's blood; "Skull Page," made of handmade paper using Kozo fibers and a powdered mummy skull with red screenprinting. NOTE: on pages 25 / 26 were hand-torn by the artist. The book, a monograph / catalogue raisonné by Orr with interventions by Byars, and multiple are housed in a large polystyrene box and slipcase in a screenprinted cardboard box. An overwhelmingly well produced project that sets a high standard for both artists' publications and artist designed monographs."; OF INTEREST: when handling the steel boards one needs to be careful not to put finger prints on it; some rubbing to the thin cardboard slipcase; the blue steel boards have a little rubbing handling, on the spine's joints is rusting off, there is significant tear on page 25 over halfway down the page, otherwise the rest of interior of the book and the multiple are in VERY GOOD COND. NOTE NOTE: substantial postage for International purchase is necessary.
