Hardcover. Condition: Very good +. Dust Jacket Condition: very good +. First Edition. Bokfà rlaget Langenskià ld 2014. Hardcover in black dust jacket (includes a printed list thanking the musicians for permission to use parts of their song lyrics - laid in). First Edition, First Printing. Quarto. 210 pages featuring 200 color photographs taken from the same geographic spot over a period of 30 years by Lars Hall on the island Grillskäret in the Baltic Sea. The variety of colors and changes that occur around this single location are rather astonishing when placed side by side one another throughout this volume; and when taken together they offer a singular yet synechdochal point of reference for our entire planet. On the opposing page for each photograph, the authors have paired some of their own thoughts, observations and reflections, as well as select lines from authors and numerous excerpts from song lyrics by famous musicians (e.g from the Beatles to Bjà rk, Led Zeppelin to Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye to Neil Young, or The Red Hot Chilipeppers and Van Morrison). All of which offers room to contemplate and garner a deep appreciation for the fundamental relationship between people and the Biosphere and by extension the future of humanity on Earth. SIGNED on the half title by Carl Folke. BOOK CONDITION: Very Good Plus (VG+); A solid, tight, clean copy with shallow cresing to the rear end page; some reading creases to the foredge of the first 5 pages, and with the inner/center of the last 20 pages showing a diminishing 4-inch round area of undulations from contact with moisture (appears someone left a glass or cup with condensation that shed onto the book's rear cover) - not too noticable unless looking closely or in raking light but still there; in a Very Good Plus (VG+) dust jacket showing rubbing and light wear to panels and corners with a circular stain to the rear panel verso from said moisture contact. SIGNED.
