Soft cover. Condition: New. During the Civil War, Maryland furnished 39 infantry, cavalry and artillery units to the Federal government for the defense of the Union. Over 62,000 loyal Marylanders, including over 9,000 African-Americans, served in these regiments or in the United States Navy and Marines. More than 4,500 Marylanders died from battle or disease. This roster was compiled not only to remember and honor these men, but also in the belief that it will be of value to the descendants of those who so nobly served our state and our Union. 2001, 51/2x81/2, paper, alphabetical, apend., viii + 298 pp.…
